Valentina Guarneri,

MD, PhD

Dr. Valentina Guarneri is Associate Professor of Oncology at the University of Padua, Italy, where she also serves as Vice Director of Medical Oncology. She obtained her MD degree from the Pisa University and then her Clinical Oncology specialization. In 2005, she also completed a 6-month-research experience at the Department of Breast Medical Oncology, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. Dr. Guarneri earned her Ph.D. in Clinical and Experimental Oncology in 2007.

She has extensive experience as Principal Investigator in several clinical trials. Her research interests are mainly focused on clinical and translational breast cancer research.

Since 2018 is the Head of the “Clinical Trial Unit” network at the Istituto Oncologico Veneto IRCCS, and previously was the Head of the Translational Research and Innovative Therapy Unit. She is on the editorial review board of several international journals, including Clinical Cancer Research, Annals of Oncology, The Oncologist and Clinical Breast Cancer.
